Warren Home Lost to Fire in Juniperwood
On Saturday night, June 14, 2008, John and Linda Warren and their grandson, volunteer firefighter William Chapman, were not at home when their neighbors, Steve and Marie Edgar smelled smoke and saw flames from the nearby home through their window.
The Edgar's quickly called 911 and left home to see if they could provide assistance. They arrived at the burning house at about 11:45 p.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames.
Volunteers firefighters from the Juniper Woods Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter, followed by the Kaibab Estates West Fire Department and Ash Fork Fire Department. They all worked through the night and most of the next day, but the 2-story log home was a total loss. Sadly, three small dogs in the home also succumbed to the fire.
Our deepest sympathy to the Warren family for their horrible loss.
